The department concluded a 3day Netball level 1 training on Friday 4th February 2022 by Mr. Oketch. Award of certificates to participants was done by Dr. Wanjira on the same day.

The Department of Physical Education and Sport held a webinar on Education Reforms- Implications of Competency-Based Curriculum on Higher Education. The main speaker was Mrs. Jacqueline Onyango- Snr, Deputy Director-Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).
Dr. Simon Munayi, a UoN don was recently elected to the Presidency of the Federation of Eastern Africa University Sports (FEAUS) for a period of four years. Dr. Munayi was the Secretary General of the body before being elected President. The Federation of Eastern Africa University Sports comprises of 12 countries which include: the twelve countries in the Eastern Africa region, namely, Burundi, Comoros, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somali, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
